You must remember this: That which you call God or whatever you may call it has no way of knowing itself. The physical universe is an idea emerging from and within this eternal, infinite, creative intelligence. It has the same degree of reality as a dream. There is an evolutionary process at work. The physical realm, in particular, of human experience is a mirror to this creative power. It is I-ing itself. The evolution is leading to an evermore perfect expression of the qualities of the Infinite in the physical world. That is creativity, beauty, joy, love, wisdom. All of which is proceeding on an inevitable path. At this stage of evolution, the human mind is able to direct the creative function of this ever unfolding energy and has done so largely unconsciously for a large part of it's history. The flow of creative power through the human is expressed in physical reality. In other words, the world emerges from the consciousness of the One Mind, as expressed through the human mind. Nothing evolves due to physical experiences only. Evolution proceeds because of the perfection of the idea. All growth and evolution takes place in alignment with the perfection of the idea. The human's ability to choose to focus their awareness gives them the power to direct creative energy in ways that cause them suffering and struggle. This does not nullify the perfection of the idea or the inevitable evolution, for the perfection of the idea exists outside of the human realm. Evolution proceeds whether the human aligns themselves with it or not. The human who does not align but exists as a separate entity or more correctly, believes themselves to exist, is clearly living in a world of cause and effect that seems out of their control. The human who is in alignment with the perfection of the idea experiences a world of potential unfolding. There is still cause and effect in their life, but it is not something they are a victim to, but rather a natural expression of the invisible manifesting as the visible. All change comes from within. In the case of what appears to be negative activities in the world, it is not useful to ignore or avoid what is, but it is essential to see the perfection of 'what is' and the inevitable evolution that arises out of every uncomfortable reality. The human who is truly in alignment with their own divinity and perfection is only inspired by the events in the world around them as they see potential and possibility for something even better to emerge.

Question date: 12/08/2011 Am I on the right path? I love to fully immerse myself in my spiritual life. As a way of expressing it to others, I am absorbed in writing and publicly reading poems about that life. There is very little I care about doing except to meditate or be quiet with myself, write poems and sometimes letters, and talk at length with friends about these things. But there are also many types of work and entertainment which I used to do, but am not interested in any longer. These are mostly engaging with family on various projects that range from maintaining property to watching movies to caring for my somewhat disabled brother. Maybe I was only pretending to be interested in such matters, or perhaps the scope of my attention has narrowed a great deal. At any rate, I feel guilty that I have lost interest in activities that are still a focus for people I love and who love me. I want to move forward to a life of meditation and poetry and talk, but feel I need to better express my directio n to my loved ones, so that they might better understand and help me achieve my wishes and needs, while I can still help them achieve theirs. Am I on the right path?
